Dr. Renner was born in New Jersey and was educated in the New Jersey school system. He graduated with honors in Pre-Med courses from Clemson University and received his Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico. Dr. Renner did his internship and Internal Medicine residency at St. Michael's Medical Center in Newark.

Upon completion of his residency he joined Heights Medical and became a member of the Internal Medicine department at Hackensack University Medical Center where he has Senior Attending privileges and teaches residents in their internal Medicine department. Dr. Renner also prepares the next generation of physicians as a part of the faculty of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New jersey where Heights Medical welcomes medical students to the office as a part of their required clinical rotations.

Dr. Renner serves the Bergen County Medical Society as a member of the Judicial Committee and is an active member of the Glen Rock Board of Health. He is a member of the American Medical Association and Medical Society of New Jersey. He is the founder of Heights Home Care; PC, which actively provides house calls to the general public on request and as so is one of very few physicians providing this needy service to so many seniors and home bound patients.
